We work directly with the local fishing community to ensure that we all of our product is caught according to all local and federal regulation. We server on the Gloucester Fishing Community Preservation Fund board that also acts as a permit bank to ensure that local fisherman have access to affordable quota. We partner with the Gloucester Fishermen Wives, the Cape Ann Fresh Catch CSF, and the Mass Restaurant Asso to promote and preserve our local fishing community and access to our valuable local seafood. We work with the state agency to help facilitate regulatory practices in the best interest of the community, environment and consumer.

What are the Local Catch Values in Action?
Our “values in action” reflect how members of our network implement our core values in practice. Through the intentional work of LCN and applying the core values, these elements emerge. The values in action are not meant to be criteria or requirements for network members, but instead help describe how we will achieve our mission and vision and help anchor and guide our work.
