As a 35-year set netter in Bristol Bay, we literally catch and handle each fish by hand with care. Our commitment to preserving the quality of salmon is underscored by all of our fish-handling protocols which include immediate bleeding and icing of fish as soon as they are caught.

We have participated in the Bristol Bay fishery and support the sustainable management of that fishery that successfully balances the needs of the environment and ecosystem with the needs of the fishers and communities we support.

Creativity and collaboration are at the heart of our business model. We seek to formalize relationships between Popsie Fish Company and all who work on behalf of salmon. So far, some of our partners are SalmonState and ASME. We are open to participating with other organizations and entities in the same capacity.

Eating with the ecosystem is fundamental to our fishing practices. We respect the cyclical nature of the salmon runs in Bristol Bay as limited in scope, and we provide a high-quality frozen product such that people can enjoy the seasonal bounty all year long.

We believe in Fair Access to fish, and are setting our company up so future generations within our family are educated and able to continue our legacy of fishing. We also believe in a fair price both for selling and for buying our salmon to processors and to consumers.

We honor the ocean by taking great care with our fishing site to create sustainable, low impact practices that are easy on the environment.

And last, we are the definition of traceable and simple supply chains. We sell the fish that we catch. It's just that simple.
