Lobster Place demonstrates its commitment to environmental and social stewardship through a number of initiatives. We utilize recyclable and re-usable packaging wherever possible; direct over 1,000,000lbs of seafood trimmings out of the waste stream and into uses such as pet food and fertilizer each year; use O3-infused processing water which eliminates harmful chlorine chemicals from the wastewater system; and densify and recycle our inbound EPS foam packaging. Most notably, we are proud to be the Shell Collection Operator for the Billion Oyster Project, a non profit organization with the goal of planting 1,000,000,000 oysters in NY Harbor to restore the marine environment and make the city more resistant to major storms.
