We strengthen local, coastal and regional food systems by providing services and support to independent food producers and making it easier to eat local food. We provide services and infrastructure to overcome limitations in the food system, including 1) low risk/cost space & equipment, 2) training and product development, and 3) market opportunities. The first facility of its kind in the area, we make it economically viable to direct market farm and seafood products in our community and PNW region. Food sovereignty is a major step towards developing equity in our communities. We are shifting power to those that produce foods, building entrepreneurship, and ultimately placing control in the hands of the eaters, who make daily choices that support their and our values. People want to make the right choice. We are creating the conditions for that to happen.

About Central Coast Food Web
The mission of the Central Coast Food Web is to strengthen our local, coastal and regional food systems by providing services and support to small, independent food producers and making it easier for all people to eat local food. We are doing so by providing the services and infrastructure needed to overcome limitations in the current food system – Our facilities provide shared space and equipment at low risk and low cost to seafood and farm businesses to process, package, and store their products. The first shared-use facility of its kind in the area, our ‘Yaquina Lab’ is making it economically viable to direct market agricultural and seafood products both in our community and PNW region.
