About Alaska Fresh Seafood

Alaska Fresh Seafood partners with small-boat fishermen and two key processors in the Copper River and Prince William Sound fishing districts and SE Alaska to bring traceable, sustainably harvested wild seafood to the Lower 48. As a Milwaukee-based, family-run business with deep roots in Alaska’s fishing communities, we make it easier for chefs, retailers, and households to access high-quality wild fish through transparent supply chains and fair, community-centered sourcing.

We are founded on the belief that wild caught Alaskan seafood should be accessible to all Americans with varying budgets. We aim to harvest and produce our products sustainably, and make a positive impact in the communities where we live and work. All people should have the opportunity to incorporate wild-caught protein into their diets to improve their health. We pay fishermen above grounds price to ensure that they receive a fair wage for their catch. We provide community education on wild-caught fish, nutrition, small-boat Alaskan fisheries and fish processing. We are the only seafood purveyor who is a business member of Chicago Fair Trade. We are proud supporters of the Copper River Watershed Project, Prince William Sound Science Center and Waukesha County Green Team.
