About The Fisherman's Pantry

The Fisherman's Pantry is a New England hub for sustainable seafoods, direct from local producers. What makes us unique? We catch the fish in our market ourselves! Our family fishes for scallops off of Cape Cod in the winter and for wild salmon, black cod, and halibut in Southeast Alaska during the summers. Stop in to explore our collection of flash frozen sustainable seafood provisions and shop our favorite pantry items. In addition to frozen fish, we carry smoked, canned, and dried options as well. We also have an entire collection of our favorite kelp & seaweed provisions, from Maine dulse to Alaska bull kelp.

We handle our catch with the utmost care because we respect the fish first and foremost. Our hook & line fisheries in Southeast Alaska are sustainably managed on both the federal and state level. The entire community is closely connected with the resource and there is a constant push and pull to stay in line with our collective conservation values. Our fishery is intertwined with everything from the local library and coffee shop, to the local schools where fishermen donate salmon for lunches and come in to educate students on the fishery and ecosystem. Our cooperative allows for more fair access, supporting young fishermen with insurance for wooden boats and support for marketing in the off season. We hope to share all of these fishing community values with Boston, Cape Cod and the greater Northeast. We are all in this together, and the more fishermen can connect with each other and their communities, the better.
